A Free Prompt to Fix The “Vibe-Coding” SEO Blind Spot

At RivalSee, our mission is to make your brand more visible in AI chat searches. While tracking this new landscape, we’ve noticed a troubling trend tied to the rise of AI-powered coding tools. Developers are building faster than ever using AI coding tools (sometimes called “vibe coding,”) but in the race to make software easy to develop and deploy, these tools are ignoring Search Engine Optimization, resulting in them not appearing high in searches and more recently, in AI searches from ChatGPT, Google AI, etc.

To help developers bridge this critical gap, we are releasing our first free AI SEO tool on GitHub: a prompt designed to audit your technical SEO and provide clear suggestions for fixes. This is the first of many resources we plan to share.

Some more details of the problem and what the tool does below.

The SEO Blind Spot of AI Coding Tools

In the race to make building and deploying code faster and easier, AI coding assistants frequently generate websites and apps that are fundamentally flawed for search. The result is a functional product that may be virtually invisible to ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity, and other AI chats, not to mention traditional search engines.

Here are the core issues:

Client-Side Rendering: AI tools often default to frameworks that render content on the client’s device. This is especially the case where sites use client-side access to databases like Supabase to retrieve and display content. Search crawlers and AI scrapers struggle to process this, often missing your most important content entirely. The problem is compounded because we have found that most AI answer engines and real-time scraping tools do not load JavaScript.

Incorrect SEO & Header Tags: We consistently find AI-generated sites with missing title tags, empty meta descriptions, and improperly structured header tags (H1, H2, etc.). These are the basic signals that tell search agents what your pages are about.

Omission of JSON: We also find AI-generated sites are not including structured JSON which can be used by both search engines and AI engines to give better context and display snippets

AI-SEO Prompt Audit for Vibe-coders

To help with this, we are providing a free prompt designed to be used directly within your AI coding environment. It helps you perform a technical SEO audit of your project and provides actionable suggestions for fixes. It will help you spot the very issues mentioned above so you can correct them before they harm your visibility. And it will rate the issues as high, medium and low.

The prompt and instructions are available at: https://github.com/RivalSee/ai-seo-tools

After running the prompt, you can ask your AI agent to fix the most pressing issues.

What This Tool does not Fix

This tool specifically addresses technical SEO implementation issues that prevent AI crawlers and search engines from properly reading your content. It does not perform other tasks that you still need to do to improve your SEO performance or performance on AI chats.

Specifically, it does NOT help with other critical areas of SEO, such as:

  • Backlink strategies: Building domain authority through external links
  • Content creation: Writing quality, engaging content
  • Keyword research: Finding the right terms to target
  • Site architecture: Overall information architecture and user experience
  • Entity-based SEO: Establishing topical authority and expertise
  • SEO strategy: High-level planning and competitive analysis
  • Core Web Vitals optimization: Performance beyond basic rendering
  • Local SEO: Geographic and location-based optimization

After You Fix Your SEO, What’s Next?

Fixing your website’s technical SEO is the critical first step to being found. Once you have implemented it, if you are interested in tracking and boosting your brands’ appearances on AI Chats like ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity and more, we recommend setting up a RivalSee account.
